So at my home church, CGCM, i signed up to finish the bible in 90 days. The program requires approximately 12 pages read per day, advocating that it will take approximately 45 minutes per session. Surprisingly, it seems to be a very time-taxing ordeal, and frankly, i don't think they averaged enough slow readers into the equation. I've finished about 10 full days so far and i'm at the middle of Numbers. I'm averaging about an hour AND half to finish my required readings. Though, to my wonderful genius standards and demise, i like to cross reference and have cross versions on biblegateway.com. Oh yea, Leviticus, Leviticus has the fun factor of zero. I feel like there is not enough Purell in the world to clean one of my sins. HAHAH. But seriously, the aroma of burning flesh pleases the Lord makes me wonder how many Hebrews still abide to the Mosaic Laws. 10? 15? You begin in the 1st testament and Genesis is actually pretty fun read, even after the nth time reading it. what makes life interesting is that you can probably infer dead bodies floating on logs in the water after the post-flood. I think Sunday School plasters nice and serene images of all the beautiful animals lining two by two, but there are always scintillating details missing. HAHAHAH Anyways i just wanted to share how i love the NLT when i do not want to use my head to focus on subject, verb, direct object, like ESV. hee hee. let me show you an example of NLT working it's magic.
